Inverloch in Victoria is a very special place in my heart. Its the place of dinosaur bones, wild ocean and many, many rocks. I built this small pile when I was last there, learning to snorkel.

The image is currently carried over onto the sides , but this painting would look just as beautiful in a natural wood box frame.

Every time I photograph this painting, the colours seem to change...sometimes the orange is more noticeable and sometimes the blue.

The effect is created using multiple layers of colours all slightly altered by drops of isopropyl . Once its dried I used floated colour to highlight the images I see to create the finished piece. The stages are quite lengthy, but the effect is very deep and quite beautiful.

It has a different feel no matter which way it is hung and for that reason is not signed on the front but on the back. The canvas is unframed.

All my artworks come to you with a certificate of authenticity and are registered with the National Registry of Australian Artists.

Golden Roads was inspired by the landscape in the Golden Triangle in Victoria. Very ancient, dry and rich in ochre hues, the trails in that area are everywhere. Some were created by the gold rush years ago and others by the animals that live there.

If you have lucky to visit Giverny , France and see Monet's garden you will know that the driveway there is literally awash with nasturtiums. Its huge and very dramatic. This canvas is a small snippet. It is mounted into a sealed pine box frame which can be removed easily if you prefer.

Painted using "negative painting technique," this creation proved a challenge. There are four layers to the painting.

It's an interesting technique because the painter does not know at times what's underneath a layer until its revealed. The next step is

determined by the colours and shapes revealed as you progress.

The last layer pulls it all together with definition and contrast. I love jugs of blooms and have always had a hankering for country blooms in

the gardens of old.

I loved rural France, as anyone would and was captivated by the castles dotted throughout the green landscape. This is a tribute to that memory. ( I also love winding roads.) This painting would be gorgeous in both an adult or child's room.
